Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper October Challenge

Hello crafty friends! Over at Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge, the only rule is to use your patterned paper. As always, I try to make sure that my design team card really showcases some amazing patterned paper. I recently went to Craft Warehouse, a local craft store in Portland and was able to buy some fun Halloween supplies to share with you on my design team cards.

Supplies used:

Card #1

The top layer of this card was created by die cutting a piece of previously ink smooshed panel with the second-largest stitched rectangular die from Gina K Design's Master Layout 2 die set and then ink blending the edges with Rubbernecker's Citrus Color Fuse Ink. A blue polkadotted patterned piece of paper from Photo Play's Fright Night Collection Pack was die cut with largest die from Gina K Design's Master Layout 2 die set. The two panels were glued together.

I then trimmed another piece of patterned paper from Photo Play's Fright Night Collection Pack with the white 31 on a blue background surrounded by an orange and black checkered background with my paper trimmer. This was glued over the panels at an angle. I then generously splattered the whole thing with gold watercolor from the Gansai Tambi Gem Colors watercolor set. After the watercolor dried, I glued several paper ephemra pieces from Simple Stories' Simple Vintage October 31st Pumpkin Bits onto the panel. Finally, some black and gray sequins from 28 Lilac Lane's Night sequin mix along with some small glittery Doodlebug Designs Beetle Black Glitter Sprinkles self adhesive enamel dots were added to the panel. To finish the card, I glued the whole thing onto an A2-sized white card base.

Cards #2 & 3

Cards 2 and 3 were made in a similar fashion, this time using only patterned paper and ephemera.  Two pieces of patterned paper from the Photo Play Fright Night Collection Pack were die cut from the two largest dies from the Gina K Design's Master Layout 2 die set and then glued together. Again, generous splatters of gold watercolor from the Gansai Tambi Gem Colors watercolor set were added to the card base. A sentiment sticker from the same paper pack was adhered to the bottom of the front panel, and then several pieces of ephemera were added to the bottom of the card panel.

I really thought that the jack-o-lantern with the glasses and surprised face in the lower left corner was so cute.
