Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper July Challenge

Hello friends! Over at Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge, the only rule is to use your patterned paper.

Supplies used:

 Card #1

This card started with the beautiful paper from Stampin' Up!'s Waves of the Ocean 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper. I die cut the top (yellow) panel with the second-largest stitched rectangular die from Gina K Design's Master Layout 2 die set and a green/blue page with the largest die from the same die set. Both layers were glued together and set aside to dry.

Next, I stamped the wave image from Stampin' Up!'s Waves of Inspiration stamp set with both Catherine Pooler's Aquatini and Cummerbund ink in an ombrรฉ manner. I then quickly heat embossed the waves with Ranger's Holographic embossing powder. I then fussy cut the wave image and set it aside. The top layer of the wave was created by die cutting some blue mirrored paper in my stash with one of the wave dies from Stampin' Up!'s Waves of Inspiration die set. I then glued the wave die to the waves stamped image and fussy cut any of the stamped image that wasn't covered by the die cut. Again, this was set aside to dry.

The sentiment was then created by stamping it on white cardstock with more Aquatini ink and then heat embossed it with more Holographic embossing powder. It was then die cut with the smallest die from Pinkfresh Studio's Diagonal Stitched Circles die set. The circle was then trimmed on the right side so that it wouldn't overhang the panel. Before gluing the circular die cut down, I ink blended around the edges with more of the Aquatini ink.

To assemble the card, I added a blue glitter washi tape onto the left side of the card panel and glued two smaller gems from The Ton's Diamond Rhinestone mixed gems next to the tape. The waves were attached to the card panel with Altenew's Instant Dimension Foam Tape. Finally, the whole card panel was glued onto an A2-sized white card base.

Card #2

This second card was a horizontal version of the first card, with one exception. I added a second die cut layer of the wave dies (the die set has two different waves). On this version, the bottom die cut was cut out of another piece of Stampin' Up!'s Waves of the Ocean 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper.
