Try Stampin' on Tuesday #550

 Try Stampin' on Tuesday #550

Hello friends! Today's Design Team card for Try Stampin' on Tuesday's sketch challenge #550 features some new fun products from the most recent Scrapbook and Cards Today's Crop & Create cardmaking event. I decided to make a few spring-y cards as we are definetly seeing it here in Portland, Oregon! We hope you are able to join us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday for this challenge.

Supplies used:

Card #1

I started this card by creating the floral image and bees. They all came from from Pink & Main's Hey Honey stamp set. They were stamped with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and heat embossed with Ranger's Holographic embossing powder. I then colored them with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. They were then die cut with the corresponding dies. While die cutting, I die cut two additional layers of scrap cardstock with the floral die. The three layers of the floral die cuts were glued together and set aside to dry.

Next, I stamped the sentiment three times from the same Pink & Main stamp set with Catherine Pooler's Pixie Dust on a light purple Bazzill paper mini tag

Then I die cut the background panel using Gina K Design's Master Layout 2 die set. The matte layer was die cut with the largest die in the set with a gray piece of paper from the Park Lane's Floral Wonders 12x12 inches paper pack, and a piece of white cardstock with the second-largest stitched rectangle die from the set. Using a stencil from Stamper's Anonymous, I added some Nuvo Pineapple Delight Glacier Paste over parts of the white cardstock and set it aside to dry. After the glue dried, I glued the two layers of paper together and then splattered some Catherine Pooler Party Dress ink mixed with water over the panel.

Finally, I used a heart punch in my stash to punch out a piece of patterned paper and then ink blended the heart with more of the Party Dress ink.

To assemble the card, I glued the mini tag onto the white card panel and then glued the heart to mimic the sketch as well as the floral image. Using some Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape to add dimension, I attached the three bees onto the card. Some washi tape was used to mimic the orange strip on the sketch--a strip of Root & Branch's Pink Blossoms washi tape as well as a roughly cut piece of white glitter washi tape. Then sequins from Catherine Pooler's Scranton, Manhattan and Vegas, Baby! sequin mix were glued onto the card. Finally, the whole card panel was attached to an A2-sized card base with more Altenew Instant Dimension Foam Tape.

Card #2

This card was created in a similar fashion as the first. This time, I used patterned papers from the Floral Wonders paper pack as the focus of this card. The light pink mini tag was stamped with the same sentiment, this time with Catherine Pooler's Party Dress ink. The circle from this card was a leftover from another project.

We hope you are able to join us this week on Try Stampin' on Tuesday. Thanks for reading!
