Pink, Dark Pink and Yellow Holiday Card
Pink, Dark Pink and Yellow Holiday Card
Hello friends! Today's card was created for a few challenges: Color Dare Challenge #466 and the Inspire.Create.Challenge #102.
Supplies used:
- Stamps: Simon Says Stamp's Snowflake Builder stamp set
- Dies: The Ton's Convention Coverplate die, Gina K's Master Layout 2 die set, Stitched circular die in my stash
- Ink: Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, Pixie Dust VersaMagic Chalk Ink (from the Pretty Pastel Colors Dew Drop set), Frost VersaMark Dazzle ink
- Paper: Smooth white cardstock, Tessler Crafts' NACRE Circle paper
- Embossing Powder: Wow! Embossing Powder in Primary Lemon Regular, Ranger's Magenta embossing powder, Moon Glow embossing powder in Mauve (retired)
- Spray: Technique Junkies' Mixed Metals Shimmering Bliss
- Gems: Honey Bee Stamps' Hot Tropics Gem Stickers, The Ton's Dew Drop Clear Enamel Dots
- Altenew's Instant Dimension Foam Tape and Liquid glue
I started this card with the central circular area of the card. I stamped the snowflakes from the Snowflake Builder set with a combination of yellow (Frost VersaMark Dazzle ink and Primary Lemon Regular embossing powder), light pink (Pixie Dust Versamagic Chalk Ink and Moon Glow embossing powder in Mauve), and dark pink (Frost VersaMark Dazzle in and Magenta embossing powder). I then die cut the flakes with a large circular die and then ink blended the circle with more of the Pixie Dust ink and then ran my Picked Raspberry ink around the edge of the circle and then lightly ink blended Picked Raspberry on the outside of the circle. I then splattered a mixture of Mixed Metals Shimmering Bliss spray and more Picked Raspberry ink over the circle. I then set that aside to dry.
Next, I turned to the sentiment which was heat embossed with more of the Primary Lemon embossing powder and then die cut it with the smaller stitched flag die from Gina K's Master Layout 2 die set. I also die cut a few additional pieces of scrap cardstock with the same stitched flag die and then glued the layers together for dimension. Then I ran the Picked Raspberry ink around the edge and then ink blended more of the Pixie Dust ink over the flag.
The Convention Coverplate die was used to cut out a piece of the Tessler Crafts NACRE Circle paper.
To assemble the card, I glued the Convention Coverplate die cut to a white A2-sized cardbase and then added Instant Dimension foam tape behind the large circular die cut and attached it to the cardbase. The sentiment was added with more foam tape (two layers of tape were placed behind the right side of the sentiment where it was directly attached to the cardbase. To finish the card, pink and yellow gems from Honey Bee Stamps as well as a few Dew Drop gems were was added to the card.
