No Tricks, Just S'more Treats
No Tricks, Just S'more Treats
Hello friends! Today's card was inspired by a few challenges: Simon Says Stamps' Wednesday Challenge (theme of spooky/Halloween), Double Trouble Challenge #95 and Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #530
Supplies used:
Stamps: Avery Elle's Halloween S'mores stamp
Dies: Avery Elle's Halloween S'mores die, circular die in my stash, background die in my stash
Paper: purple foil paper from Concord & 9th's Flirty Foil 6x6 paper pack
Ink: Villainous Potion Distress Ink, VersaFine Clair Nocturne pigment ink
Embossing powder: Ranger's Holographic embossing powder
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in Mid Brown, Light Brown, Beige, Vanilla, Light Pink, Purple, Black, Pale Gray
Washi tape: Altenew's Many Dots washi tape and two additional multi-colored washi tapes in my stash
Gansai Tambi Starry Colors watercolor set
Sequins: Simon Says Stamp's Holiday Party sequin mix
Spray: Mardi Gras Purple Shimmering Bliss Spray from Technique Junkies
To make this card, I started out by laying a few washi tapes across the middle of the A2-sized card base and trimming them to be flush with the base. Next, I glued a piece of purple foil paper from Concord & 9th that I had previously die cut with a panel die from my stash.
Next, I stamped the trick-or-treaters with he Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink and then heat embossed it with Holographic embossing powder. I then colored the trick-or-treaters with my Zig markers, blending the two brown colors on the chocolate bar, the light brown and beige on the gram crackers, and black and gray on the bat wings. I then cut them out with the corresponding die cut and cut an additional three layers of scrap cardstock and glued all the layers together. After the trick-or-treaters dried, I glued them to the cardbase.
I stamped the sentiment with more of the Nocturne VersaFine Claire ink and then heat embossed with more of the Holographic powder. I then used a stitched circular die in my stash to cut it out and then ink blended the circle with Villainous Potion Distress Ink (such a cool color). I then glued two additional layers of cardstock behind the circle cut for more dimension there as well. I tucked the circle under the feet of the trick-or-treaters and glued the circle to the cardbase.
To finish the card, I added sequins from the Holiday Party sequins around the whole card. I then splattered some gold watercolor from my Starry Colors watercolor set and some Mardi Gras Purple Shimmering Bliss spray (that I had sprayed onto a piece of acetate).
Thanks for reading!
