Merry Christmas with Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #306
Hello friends! This Christmas card was inspired by the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge #306. Because I added a lot of Spritz and Splatter, I am entering this over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and in the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with Dies Challenge.
Supplies used:
Stamps: Simon Says Stamp's Stained Glass Greetings
Dies: Simon Says Stamp's Stained Glass Greetings die set, Honey Bee Stamp's Deckle Edge A2 Honey Cuts, Sizzix Layered Snowflake Thinlits dies, Simon Says Stamp's Snowflake Mandala die, Gina K's Master Layout 2 set (stitched flag for the sentiment)
Paper: Patterned papers in my stash, gold paper from the Pastel Foil Cardstock Paper pack, Yupo paper with pink alcohol ink and gold foil, white foil paper from Concord &9th's Formals Foil Paper Pack, scrap watercolor paper (for the sentiments)
Ink: Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide
Holographic embossing powder from Ranger
Sprays: Altenew's Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray
Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi Starry Colors watercolor set
Foam tape and liquid glue
Honey Bee Stamps gems
To make the card, I die cut out the two background pieces of paper, sprayed them and let them dry. Next, I cut out the snowflakes. I then stamped, heat embossed, and die cut the sentiments.
To assemble the card, I glued three layers of scrap paper behind the pink paper and then glued all of the layers to the larger to the dark blue frame. I then attached the whole thing to an A2-sized card base with foam tape. Next, I glued the snowflakes to the pink panel. Then I added both sentiments with more foam tape. To finish the card, I added gems from Honey Bee Stamps on top of the snowflakes, splattered gold flecks from the Starry Colors set and then painted a border on the right edge of the white card base.
Thanks for reading!
