A Bird Holiday Card

 A Bird Holiday Card

Hello friends! Today's card is inspired by the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown August Theme Challenge and Sunday Stamps Sketch Challenge #264

Supplies used:

  • Foam tape and liquid glue

To make this card, I die cut the ink smooshed paper and then stamped and heat embossed the Poinsettia and Birds stamp. Next, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiments and then cut them out as well. While I was die cutting the word happy, I used the die cut three additional times-once with more of the ink smooshed paper, and twice with some scrap paper. Then I cut the two background paper halves and put them together with the washi tape. I then placed the ink smooshed paper with foam tape and then glued the 4 layers of the happy sentiment towards the lower right part of the ink smooshed paper. I glued the whole thing to a white A2-sized card base. I then added some foam tape behind the stitched flag with the word holidays on it and added it to the corner of the card base. I then added three red gems next to the sentiment and a couple of opal-colored gems next to the word happy.
