Sunday Stamps Challenge #257

 Sunday Stamps Challenge #257

Today's card was created using Sunday Stamps Challenge #257 a color challenge featuring coral, orange, a creamy yellow, a blue and a bluish-gray. Here is the image that inspired the challenge:

I used this challenge as an opportunity to open up a Catherine Pooler's Kind of Wonderful stamp set and the coordinating die (called Three of a Kind). It had been waiting to be used for a while, and I was so glad I opened it!

I started making this card with some alcohol inks in coral, sapphire blue, gumball, gold and snow cap (really a mixative). After the background dried, I die cut it with the Wrapped Circles Die from Memory Box.

Next, I stamped the main image from the Kind of Wonderful stamp set (the word kind) on some card stock using some Mediterranean Blue Tsukineko Brilliance ink and then heat embossing it with Ranger's Holographic Embossing Powder. I then die cut the sentiment 3 times with the coordinating die cut and glued them together for dimension. These were attached to the alcohol-inked circle using some liquid adhesive in the upper right side of the circle.

Then I went back to the alcohol inked circle and added a sub sentiment by directly stamping onto the circle the words with the same Mediterranean Blue ink and heat embossing with more of the Holographic Embossing powder.

To attach the card, I cut 2 additional circles of the same size and taped them together using some double sided tape to create dimension, and then added the whole thing to a top-folding white card base. I then added three blue gems from Honey Bee Stamps.

Thanks for reading!
