Just Add Ink Challenge #555
Just Add Ink Challenge #555
Today I am excited to share another card that I made as part of a challenge. It has been fun trying to stretch my creativity to fit the parameters of challenges and have helped me create cards I would not have made otherwise. Today, I wanted to share the card I made for the Just Add Ink Challenge #555 which is a color challenge.
This card features Simon Says Stamps Sketched Flowers stamp and the Bold Beautiful Die from My Favorite Things. To make this card, I started with a print that I had made with my gel press with some light blue and some magenta acrylic paint. The print was cut with the smaller rectangle panel die from my Gina K Master Layouts 2 die set.
Next, I stamped the Sketch Flowers stamp with some Catherine Pooler ink in Party Dress (I don't have a magenta ink, and it looks darker on the blue background). I then heat embossed the image with Ranger's Holographic Embossing Powder. I then went back and colored in parts of the image with my Karin markers.
Then I added the Beautiful die cut by cutting out a piece of alcohol-inked Yupo paper that had previously been made with purples, pinks and silver alcohol ink. I added a second layer of scrap card stock behind the Yupo paper for a little dimension and support and then glued it to the front of the panel.
The pink matte was made using more Catherine Pooler Party Dress that was directly added to another piece of card base (die cut using the largest rectangular die cut from the Master Layout set) and then heat embossed with more Holographic Embossing Powder. I glued the blue panel to the pink matte, added added foam tape behind the pink matte and placed it all on a white card base. To finish the card, I added some sequins from Catherine Pooler's Summer City sequin mix.
Thanks for reading!
