CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #421

CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #421

Welcome! This card features the sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #421.  I decided to take some supplies I had out from another card and use them to to make a clean and simple card.

This card features the Hero Art's Happy stamp and die set to create the sentiment, a leftover butterfly that I had made from Simon Says Stamps' Butterfly Kisses stamp and die set as well as Simon's Spring Boho Circle Stencil.

To make the card, I cut out the word happy using the word die from the Hero Art's Happy stamp and die set using Brutus Monroe Glamour Gloss Stock in Wizard and then stamping the word thoughts from the same set directly to the card base with Fiesta Blue ink from Catherine Pooler. Next, I used the Boho Circle Stencil to add a little more interest to the card.I used more of the Fiesta Blue ink on the stencil, but some of the purple from a past project came along for the ride, so it ended up being moe of a dark blue/purple color which I liked. I then grabbed the butterflies from the  Butterfly Kisses set (this was a leftover from a previous project where I had used some Wow! Embossing powder in Metallic Platinum Sparkle and colored using my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers in blues, greens, yellows and purples).

The butterfly was adhered to the cardbase using liquid glue on the body and head of the butterfly and foam tape behind the wings to make them pop off the card. Then I adhered the die cut happy sentiment to the card above the word thoughts with some liquid glue. Finally to pull the card together (and to cover up a smudge) I flicked some blue gold Gansai Tambi Starry Colors watercolor onto the card panel.

Thanks for reading!
