Dylusion Spray and Stencil Backgrounds
Dylusion Spray and Stencil Circular Backgrounds
Today I want to share three cards that I made with Dylusions Sprays that I used with a few stencils that I had in my stash. Each of those backgrounds were cut with Memory Box's Wrapped Circle dies.
The first card was made with Dylusions Shimmer Spray in Vibrant Turquoise. After I had die cut the background, I added Simon Says Stamp's Warm Hugs Die using Simon Says Stamp Holographic Silver Cardstock. I popped up the whole thing using some foam tape on a black card base.
I then decided that the card needed a little more, and so I added some light blue sparkly tape and some Therm O Web Gina K Designs Sparkling Silver Fancy Foils using some very thin double-sided tape. I I finished up the card using some clear gems from Honey Bee Stamps.
The second card's background was created using the Simon Says Stamp's Bokeh Lights Stencil with the largest holes. I had sprayed the stencil with more Dylusions Shimmer Spray in Funky Fushia. This background is the result of a second stenciling--I had already used the stencil on another piece of paper and then sprayed the stencil with water and pressed it on a separate piece of paper. I really loved the bright pink color that resulted. I stamped my Hero Arts Old French Writing stamp inked with Distress Oxide in Wilted Violet multiple times to cover the whole paper.
I then die cut with the Wrapped Circles die. The sentiment came from the Simon Says Stamp Painted Happy Birthday Wafer Die using some purple paper in my stash. The paper circle was popped up using some foam tape and then placed on a light purple card base. I then finished up the card with some more clear gems from Honey Bee Stamps.
I added some light blue sparkly washi tape onto a black card base and added some dimension behind the larger circle using some foam tape. With the larger circle affixed to the card base, I finished the card by adding three light blue gems from Honey Bee Stamps on the lower right part of the circle.
