Adding to my birthday card stash

Adding to my birthday card stash

Today I wanted to share some cards I made for my birthday stash. Both of them were made using some embossing paste and a die cut sentiment. I think they look great and are ready to go when I need a card for a birthday.

So I created this first card using Simon Says Stamp's Floating Leaves Slimline Stencil using Nuvo Glimmer Paste in blue (the color seems to be discontinued) on some white watercolor paper. I topped the background with the Simon Says Stamps Painted Happy Birthday Wafer Die that I die cut three times: twice in white for dimension and once in Brutus Monroe's Wizard Glamour Gloss Cardstock and glued them towards the bottom right corner of the card using some liquid glue. I then added some hearts that I had from another project in the same Wizard Glamour Gloss Cardstock and some white pearl gems that I had in my stash. I attached the whole thing to a card base to finish.

This second card was made using a very similar process. I don't remember where the stencil came from, but I used Gina K Glitz Glitter Gel in White. I used the same Painted Happy Birthday die using Tonic's Mirror Card Iridescent Cardstock in Marina Mist. I again die cut some white cardstock twice and then glued all three layers together for dimension. I then glued the whole sentiment to the center of the card. I flicked some Gansai Tambi Pearl Colors watercolor on the stencil for a little extra color (and to cover a couple of smudges) in Pearl Cobalt Blue. I then attached a white cardbase. To finish up the card, I added some silver and light blue gems from Honeybee Stamps.
