Freshly Made Sketches 419 Challenge

Image
This is my first card challenge card! I made this card in response to Freshly Made Sketches 419 . I really appreciated the challenge of creating someting a little different. I don't make cards that are not squared off usually, but I really like this card. Who doesn't always need more masculine notes or thank you notes? I think this card sketch has a lot of potential.  Here is the original sketch from Freshly Made Sketches: Have a great day!

Thank you note-another adventure in ink blending!

My penultimate ink-blending focused card to practice what I learned from Altenew's Easy Ink Blending class. I created a really pretty card with a pink circular background with a variety of pinks in the background, mostly from Hero Arts inks. Then I stamped and die cut the Starry Flowers set from Altenew in rose gold. I painted in the flowers with Altenew watercolors in turquoise and wine and blended the two colors together to get the variety of blues and purples.  The sentiment was from Simon Says Stamp, in Rose Gold. I finished the card up with some gems. So pretty!

Happy Birthday Dad! Altenew Ink Blending Class

Happy Birthday Dad! I made this card to practice some ink blending techniques I learned in Altenew's Easy Ink Blending class and to create a card for my dad's 75th birthday. I really like the new stencil from Altenew--a cool and then adding a wreath using another stencil (I can't remember where that stencil came from). It was a really fun card to make.

Believe in you

Here is another card made with the beautiful Dot Botanicals stamp and die set by Altenew. I made this card for Altenew Academy's Easy Ink Blending Techniques class. It was a fun and easy card to make. The background allowed me to ink blend on white card stock with Distress Ink. Since right now in my world we are finishing up the first semester and everyone is stressed, this seems to be a timely sentiment!

Welcome to Sparkly Wallflower! I am looking forward to sharing greeting cards and other projects that I make. This card seems especially appropriate as I start this blog! I created this card using the Altenew Dot Botanicals Stamp and Die set. The pretty green ink is Green Hills from Hero Arts with some rose gold embossing over the top. To create the background paper, I spritzed some water on a scrap piece of gray paper and then sprinkled on some Nuvo Shimmer Powder in two shades and waited for it to dry. I then came back and stamped the dotted stamp of the Dot Botanicals Stamp set in the same rose gold and embossed with Hero Arts Holographic embossing powder. I then added some washi tape, gems and the Hello greeting.
